Toothpick Bridge Building Competitions

When entering a toothpick bridge competition for a science fair project, be sure to document all the steps you have taken to build the toothpick bridge. Judges like to see the following:

  • Detailed instructions on how you built the toothpick bridge.
  • How many hours and or days it took to build the bridge.
  • Who participated.
  • What materials were used to create the toothpick bridge
  • Addition of color and other landscape to give a pleasent appearance.
  • Total weight of the toothpick bridge.
  • Total weight it can support.
  • Any math to describe how the toothpick can support such a structure.
